Kaan brings a combination of professional expertise, youth development experience and a fresh perspective to his role as Director at the British Indoor Skydiving Association (BISA). While not a skydiver himself, Kaan’s involvement in the sport has developed through supporting his son Oliver’s journey, providing him with a unique viewpoint shaped by the experiences of athletes, parents and the wider community.
Through supporting Oliver’s progression from grassroots participation to international competition, Kaan has gained first-hand insight into the challenges faced by young athletes and their families, particularly in freestyle and dynamic flying disciplines. Oliver has gone on to achieve notable success, including becoming UK Freestyle National Champion in 2024 and 2025, alongside competing internationally and representing British talent at a high level. This journey has enabled Kaan to build strong relationships within the global indoor skydiving community and strengthen his commitment to supporting youth development and creating clearer pathways for young athletes entering the sport.

Professionally, Kaan has successfully run his own online marketing and web development agency for the past 14 years. Through this work, he has developed extensive experience in strategic planning, governance, digital infrastructure, brand development, stakeholder engagement and operational management. These skills provide a strong foundation for contributing to BISA’s strategic direction, communications, and long-term development.
Kaan is particularly passionate about encouraging greater online engagement within the indoor skydiving community and improving visibility for athletes, competitions and grassroots participation. With his digital marketing background, he is keen to support BISA in strengthening communication, promoting athlete achievements and increasing awareness of indoor skydiving across the UK.
In addition to his professional background, Kaan is actively involved in youth development as a Scout Leader, where he supports young people through leadership, mentoring and personal development programmes. This experience aligns closely with his focus on encouraging youth participation and supporting the next generation of indoor skydiving athletes.
As a Director, Kaan is committed to supporting BISA’s long-term growth, strengthening youth development, encouraging community engagement and helping raise the profile of indoor skydiving across the UK.
